​The Study Abroad office of Purchase College SUNY runs the archaeological program in Israel.

 

All students register for 2 courses: 

 

Course 1--Methods and Techniques in Field Archaeology. This course is a fieldwork practicum. Students are full participants in the archaeological excavations. Students learn and become proficient in techniques and methodologies of archaeological excavations.

 

Course 2--Archaeological Issues in the Southern Levant. Lecture course on the history and archaeology of ancient Israel. Course includes lectures and weekend fieldtrips.
